You can find here for download the source code of a desktop widget built upon the Wixi Feeds. This example widget can list all the latest media files added on Wixi, filter them per category, and also search for specific media.
It is made for Apple MacOs X Dashboard, but widgets for any other platform can be adapted from this source code.
